Generally speaking, the newly purchased crane (cantilever crane) will have a running in period, often showing some problems, affecting the normal operation. Understanding some characteristics of running in period can make better use of crane.
Wear faster
Due to the influence of processing, installation and adjustment of new machine parts of crane, its conflict surface is rough, the touch area of cooperation surface is small, and the pressure bearing condition of the surface is uneven. In the process of crane operation, the concave and convex parts on the surface of parts collide with each other, and the worn metal debris, as abrasives, will increase friction, which will accelerate the wear of parts' cooperative surface. Therefore, during the running in period, the wear of simple components is fast, so it is necessary to pay attention to normal maintenance.
Poor smoothness
Because of the small cooperation gap of the parts of the new device, and because of the device and other reasons, it is difficult to ensure the average of the cooperation gap, and the smooth oil is not easy to form an average oil film on the conflict surface to prevent wear. Then the smooth efficiency is reduced to form the abnormal wear of crane parts in the early stage.
Loose parts
In the initial stage of application, due to the impact, vibration and other alternating loads, as well as the influence of heating, deformation and other factors, plus the reasons such as excessive wear and tear, it is easy to loose the original fastening parts. And loose parts will cause leakage, such as oil leakage.
Operational errors
Some of the newly purchased port cranes are not familiar with or easy to operate, which may lead to some mistakes, especially for the new operators, which are easy to present problems. So the new mechanical equipment should be familiar with before it is put into use.
